Turtle Town Snorkel and Whale Watch Tour from Lahaina is an unforgettable experience for anyone wanting to discover Maui's picturesque waters. This tour begins with an enjoyable boat ride along West Maui's coastline to Lahaina Turtle Town (formerly Mala Wharf), known today as Lahaina Turtle Town or Turtle Town for short. After Hurricane Iniki struck, however, its dock pilings were dispersed around the ocean floor creating an artificial reef which now hosts many varieties of marine life.
If conditions in Turtle Town are less than desirable, our tour will continue on to Honolua Bay or Airport Beach to give us an opportunity to spot Hawaiian green sea turtles and tropical fish.
Tour highlights Humpback Whale behavior and habitat during whale season (December to April), providing an educational and enriching experience. Tour includes top-quality flotation devices and snorkel gear as well as top-quality lunch options such as hot dog, chips and chocolate chip cookie or lettuce tomato cucumber onion wraps.
This tour is accessible to most travelers; however, basic swimming skills are necessary. Wheelchair- and stroller-accessible routes exist but there may be stairs and uneven terrain; wildlife may be visible but isn't guaranteed; once snorkeling has concluded adult beverages may be purchased with valid photo identification required from passengers 21+ who plan on drinking alcohol; The Turtle Town Snorkel and Whale Watch Tour provides an opportunity to experience Maui's underwater world and the breathtaking splendor of Humpback Whales as they migrate each year.
