This is a very rugged sandy beach on West Maui's North Shore. This section of Maui begins in Kapaluaalong the Honoapi'ilani Highway (Highway 30), ending in Wailuku. The road to get to this beach is a bit of an experience as you'll be driving near cliffs, but it's scenic and well worth the drive. You'll be on the leeward side of the island, going into the windward side. This beach is best for taking a nice walk, rather than sunbathing or swimming. It's more known for surfing in the winter when the waves and swells are really big. Surfers flock to this beach to access "Windmills" surf break offshore.
There are no facilities or lifeguards.
