Maunakea Summit & Stars Adventure provides an unforgettable experience of Hawaii's spectacular night sky. Beginning with a scenic drive through Hawaii's mountain lands and historical accounts of early travelers, guests will enjoy picnic-style dinner before witnessing an impressive sunset over the Pacific Ocean. After dusk falls, visitors can sip hot chocolate while viewing an 11" Celestron telescope star show. Our guide-to-guest ratio ensures personalized attention and an intimate experience for each participant.
Visitors will receive warm wear, including hooded parkas and gloves, however closed-toe shoes, long pants, a sweatshirt or sweater and closed-toe shoes are strongly suggested as it covers approximately half a mile on uneven or rocky terrain rated easy to moderate for walking tours. Due to its high altitude environment, however, visitors with respiratory, circulatory or heart conditions, pregnancy or poor health should refrain from joining as participation would likely prove harmful to their wellbeing.
