Beekeeping Tour

Big Island Bees offers a Beekeeping Tour that's both informative and enjoyable, presenting an exceptional opportunity to discover the captivating universe of bees. Experienced beekeepers guide this tour that lasts an hour, transporting you to a live hive where you can gain proximity to bees and understand their behavior and routines. Additionally, you can partake in honey tastings and a video detailing the intricacies of honey production.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to sample a selection of delicious honeys at a free tasting session. Discover the special flavors and smells of the different flowers and plants that our busy bees visit.

To deepen your understanding of honey production, we bring you a short video explaining the journey from flower to jar and shedding light on the remarkable process behind this golden liquid.

After the tour, take time to explore our museum, which displays a range of artifacts and historical objects related to beekeeping. You can also browse our collection of locally crafted gifts and unique souvenirs to remember your visit.

Our beekeeping tours are a great addition to your island itinerary, with close proximity to famous attractions such as the Painted Church, Kealakekua Bay, Ancient Heiau, Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park and Greenville Coffee Farm.
